The University of Aïn Timouchent hosted, this Thursday, the proceedings of the regional conference of directors of higher education institutions of the Western Region, under the chairmanship of the president of the regional conference and in the presence of directors from universities, university centres, higher schools, and research centres within the region.

This meeting was held within the framework of periodic coordination and consultation on the challenges and prospects of higher education and scientific research at the regional level.

The agenda focused on several key areas, including

• The presentation and evaluation of the annual report on the activities of the regional conference, as well as the review of projects and programmes implemented during the previous academic year.

• Discussion of the challenges related to the management of university budgets, with a focus on rationalising expenditures and improving the quality of training within an effective pedagogical environment.

• The opening of a dialogue space among institution directors to exchange visions and perspectives, aiming to develop a unified strategy capable of supporting the transformations underway in the higher education and scientific research sector.
